Windows 10: Intel System Update failed (0x8000ffff)

Ever since Update 2004 there's a bunch of optional updates in Windows Update. Sometimes new ones are thrown in there, and occasionally they will be installed automatically. This is on default Windows installation by the way. Now I don't mind this actually, however I do not like it when something fails, like this update right here:

Intel - System - 9/19/2017 12:00:00 AM - 11.7.0.1000

Windows told me it needed a restart. So I clicked the icon at the bottom right on the taskbar, and after I checked Windows Update again once it has been rebooted it told me this:

It told me that it couldn't install the update with this error code under 'driver updates':

0x80240035

The update has now disappeared. I tried searching for it, but there are so many of the same update labeled 'Intel - System' that I don't understand what this update tried to actually update. Why did it fail? And what did it try to update exactly?

Windows10 Pro - Fix for - 2018-04 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for x64-based Systems (KB4093112) - Error 0x8000ffff

I'm faced with above issue. Tried many solutions suggested on the forum and didn't resolved issue. Can anyone help on what could be ging wrong?

Tried - System Trobleshoot (windows Update), Windows10Upgrade9252, MediaCreationTool (failed on teh system after intial screens)

Error Message :

• 2018-04 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for x64-based Systems (KB4093112) - Error 0x8000ffff
• 2018-04 Security Update for Adobe Flash Player for Windows 10 Version 1709 for x64-based Systems (KB4093110) - Error 0x8000ffff

System Details :

Processor : Intel Pentium CPU B960 @2.2HFz

System Type : 64-bit OS,X64-based Processor

Windows Update Error 0x8000ffff

I tried all the suggested steps and still got Error 0x8000ffff

 

1903 fails 0x8000ffff

Successfully installed 1903 on 3 comp0uters. Cannot install 1903x64 over 1809 on an Acer Aspire 5750.

Fails with error 0x8000ffff.

Things I have tried:

Using Windows Update notification

Using Windows Installation media

Ran Windows update troubleshooter

Deleted Softwaredistribution folder contents

Clean boot

Any suggestions?
