Intel to amd upgrade after a broken motherboard replacement

Hi! I have just changed from intel to amd after my old mobo broke. I have my hard drive with windows installed but I’m an unsure if I can boot from it. I have a Microsoft account so would like to perform a fresh install. How would I go about this? Thank you.

Replace AMD Processor with an Intel Processor

I am using an laptop with AMD processor. but I wanted to change the processor only not the laptop. i wanted to add intel Core i5 processor in the place of AMD. But I have heard that AMD cannot be replaced by intel or
other processors since the slots are seen to be different. OR is there any other processor which is equivalent to INTEL i5.

My Computer has an AMD A6 so I wanted to replace this AMD A6 Processor with an INTEL i5.

Replace AMD Processor With Intel Processor.

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

The AMD A4 is an AMD CPU and Intel i7 is an Intel CPU, so they neither use the same socket nor the same chipset. They are both physically and electronically incompatible. So, you may not be able to replace the AMD processor with an Intel processor.

The close to equivalent processor for Intel i7 would be AMD A10 APU because it has a way more powerful integrated graphics chip, better multi-threading support, and the mobile processor provides 4 cores where as Intel mobile processor only has 2 cores.
