Windows 10: Intel USB 3.0 not working since windows 10 update

Hi to everyone.


Why has Microsoft damaged my USB 3.0 in my laptop?


MSI Ge62 6QF Apache Pro is my laptop. I have no idea what Microsoft is doing but for sure not a good job at all. Every freaking update you guys release, you damage or break stuff in my laptop. Another day was mouse, the other day is lan and now USB.


Under Device manager when I see drivers in Intel USB 3.0, I can see an update done on the 20/02/2020 version 10.0.18362.693.


This update is so bad that when I connect a hard disk to usb 3.0, it just will connect disconnect connect disconnect. It will not let the hard disk connect at all.


What is wrong with stupid Microsoft people who should test those drivers before causing us damage?


Anyone has any links outside the MS website to download some older drivers?


Stupid MS keeps updating my laptop and its drivers every time it has a chance to, leading me to lose so much time in searching for a problem.

Intel Updates Core 2 Quad Q9550 to E-0 Stepping

We continue our Monday news list with another Intel story that brings to our attention information concerning the company and more specificly its 2.83GHz Core 2 Quad Q9550 chips that will move from the current C-1 to the newer E-0 stepping. The updated chips will start selling on August 22nd, featuring the following changes:

• New SSpec and MM numbers for the converting products
• CPUID will change from 0x10677 to 0x1067A
• Package change to Halide free package

Apart from that, the new stepping CPUs will not include any other changes. Of course, like most new stepping parts a BIOS update will be needed.

Windows 10 USB boot

Hi there, am not a windows 10 expert. I have a pc in the bedroom on windows 10, I messed up the bootloader trying to fix the xp on that system.

System wont boot, trying to repair via win 10 usb installer.

Downloaded the media creation tool to install windows 10 installer on usb stick. Not compatible with a host of usb sticks I have. Tried the usb sticks that others use, but I think they use rufus; as the media creation tool by win 10 does not detect the usb stick.

So quick question, the win10 machine i am trying to repair the bootloader is a win7 upgraded to win10.
If i were to use the usb win10 installer to "repair installation" does the version of the iso downloaded via the media creation tool matter?

There is three options:
Windows 10
Windows 10 Home
Windows 10 N

Also is there a step by step instead of using rufus as I want to try an alternative method of creating a usb win 10 installer. Preferably with more compatibility.

System is a asus sabertooth 990 (r2?) with AMD phenom X 6.

Also is there any other software I can load onto the usb that can repair the bootloader easily?
That would be the ideal alternative. Thanks

 

Windows 10 upgrade problem, no input accepted

i've seen this when the stock USB drivers went kaput. Only ever seen it once - i used a PCI USB 2.0 card and connected the mouse and keyboard to that, and manually updated the USB 2/USB 3 drivers.
