I’m running into a frustrating issue while trying to install Windows 10/11 on my HP Pavilion laptop, and I’m hoping someone might have a workaround.My laptop has: - Intel 11th Gen i7-1195G7 - 16GB of RAM - Samsung 1TB NVMe SSD. - TPM support A little bit of context: i've always used Ventoy on my usb, since i made it into a troubleshooting swiss-knife.Up until 24h2, I had no problems installing Windows, but now the Windows installer refuses to recognize my SSD as a valid installation target, despite it being detected in the driver selection screen.I keep getting a “driver install error” when t

SAmsung 970 Evo plus 1TB drivers and software.

I have a HP Pavilion X360 convertible 15"

The laptop came with a 1TB 5400 rpm hdd and a 16GB Optane module. I disabled the optane, removed it, and installed the 970 Evo plus. I did a clean install of Win 10 to the ssd.

The laptop boots to windows and everything runs well, but I can't install the Samsung NVME Drivers and Samsung Magician software doesn't completely work like it should. Device manager show SSD drivers are Microsoft. Raid mode is not enabled.

When I try to install Samsung drivers I get error message NVM Express device is not connected. Samsung compatibility error shows The device is connected to the driver, Intel corp. 17.11.0.1000 that Magician doesn't support. Use Microsoft or Samsung NVMe driver.

This is the only storage entry in device manager and the Intel controller drivers are V. 17.11.0.1000





I have asked for help elsewhere and searched elsewhere with no luck on resolving this.

Are there Microsoft drivers that the Intel controller can use? Any help would be appreciated

Windows 11 Installation Samsung SSD 980 NVMe

Hi,

I have recently bought new PC components but faced weird issue. I am already working on it for 2 days and read most threads online. None of the instructions helped. So I am coming up to you so maybe you could give some hints.

The issue: upon installation of Windows 11 downloaded from Microsoft and used their service (not rufus) for creating bootable usb the error message on the first step is that I am missing drivers. Although it is being said that these drives don’t have specific drivers from Samsung and are supposed to run on windows built-in drivers.

The interesting fact is also that drives are visible in BIOS and able to configure from “discpart” so I have already converted the to GPT, created partition and formatted with NTFS with no results.

I have also downloaded drivers from both Intel website and GIGABYTE for IRT and VMD but none were working.

PC SPEC:

• Intel i7 14700kf
  
• Gigabyte z790 ud 1.0
  
• Samsung SSD 980 NVMe M.2 SSD (slots: M2A, M2Q)
  
• BIOS VER: F10A
  

BIOS config:

• VMD - disabled
  
• CFG Lock - disabled
  
• CSM support - disabled
  
• Windows 10 Features - Other OS
  
• Secure Boot - Disabled

Windows 11 install process not recognizing NVMe drive

Dear Support team,

I have installed a new computer with a Samsung 980PRO Nvme drive. The drive is recognized in the UEFI bios.

When I launch the Window11 installer there is no driver available to continue installation. In the Command Line

window I have set the Nvme drive with diskpart to MBR. But still the drive is not shown to the Windows installation

program.

I looked to find drivers, took those of the Intel website for Nvme/Windows 11, but they are not compatible,

the Windows 11 does not accept them. I couldn't find anything about Drivers for Samsung Nvmes on the

Samsung website.

Do you have any suggestions what I can do to get this working?
