Windows 10: Intel Wi-Fi driver keeps disconnecting / partial or ambiguous device match?

I have a 1.5 year old ASUS TUF Gaming Laptop F15 model number is FX506HM and this is the only time I have had issues with it, which has been going on since about mid-late 2022. I have been having issues where my driver for one of my network adapters Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160mHz keeps disconnecting or stops working. At first it started when I would shut the lid or if it would fall asleep, and I found the only solution at that time was to simply set it to not reconnect automatically so that every time my laptop would be awakened from sleep, I have to reconnect manually. It is possible MS update installed an incompatible driver and that is why it is saying Device DISPLAY\CHRC378\4&2e2e29c0&2&UID198147 was not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match.

There is no rollback option for the Generic PnP monitor, dfriver. There was one for the Intel (R) HD graphics family adapter so I rolled that back to no effect. It still says device display not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match.

I've had another go at pointing driver updater to the correct driver by using I have disk or search for driver/s manually to no effect.

For one drive, 'WD easystore 25FA USB Device Properties' _/Events\_ shows this:

What is meant by "migrated"?

What would cause an "ambiguous match"?

Is this anything to worry about?

Ok, first is a "device" may not always mean an actual physical device. But in this case it appears to.

The hardware ID of the device, such as your external drive. can be found by checking the Device Manager and looking at properties of the drive and the Details tab. You can use the drop down menu to show the hardware ID.

The partial or ambiguous match seems to indicate you have two versions of something installed or drivers for something installed with similar IDs..

There is a log in the C:\$Windows.~BT\Sources\Rollback folder named setupapi.dev.log. You might check that to see if you have errors or multiple ! marks in the margin. Each section also reports Success or some other outcome..

I you have an external drive, I would disconnect it..
