Windows 10: Intel WiFi driver update 22.130.0 is showing as corrupted

I turned my computer on the other day to find that the WiFi wasn't working. The network and sharing centre was showing no Wifi options as if I didn't have a WiFi adapter at all. The adapter wasn't appearing in the list of adapters in "Network connections" either. To investigate, I opened Device Manager and noticed there was a yellow warning triangle next to the Intel Wireless-AC 9260 adapter. Under device status in the adapter's properties it said that the driver could be corrupted and mentioned code 39. I've also seen code 3 mentioned here while trying to resolve things. Intel Updates Core 2 Quad Q9550 to E-0 Stepping

We continue our Monday news list with another Intel story that brings to our attention information concerning the company and more specificly its 2.83GHz Core 2 Quad Q9550 chips that will move from the current C-1 to the newer E-0 stepping. The updated chips will start selling on August 22nd, featuring the following changes:

• New SSpec and MM numbers for the converting products
• CPUID will change from 0x10677 to 0x1067A
• Package change to Halide free package

Apart from that, the new stepping CPUs will not include any other changes. Of course, like most new stepping parts a BIOS update will be needed.

Intel /WiFi Driver Update

unable to install Intel 3165/7265/8260/8265 WiFi driver on my Dell Laptop w/Win 10 vb_release 19041, repeated failures, unable to complete this installation/update, as downloaded from Dell Support website. Any suggestions?

 

Startup error on discontinued Intel driver

Hi David,

Windows 10 update remove the Intel WiDi driver due to compatibility issue. We suggest uninstalling the Intel WiDi driver from Control Panel to avoid it from showing up every time you start your computer. To do this, kindly follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X on your keyboard.
• Select Control Panel.
• Click Programs.
• Choose Programs and Features.
• Click Intel (R) WiDi Driver and hit Uninstall.
• Restart your computer.
