Windows 10: Intell wireless AC 9260

How do i fix Error Intel R Wireless - AC 9260 160hz Adapter on the driver or hardware. I cant get on my Wifi in which i know is working on my other devices. Im windows 10 new Lenovo Yoga c930 laptop. Never had an issue - use norton antivirus.

Version: 20.10.2 does support the 9260 adapter, so I will try that one as it is the oldest one available that supports the 9260.

 

How to get Intel Wireless-Ac 9260 to work with Z370 Motherboard on Windows 10?

Everything looks good in the device manager but the WiFi icon in the tray is replaced by the globe and no Wireless networks are detected as if the wireless adapter is not present.

Any ideas how to get this Intel Wireless-Ac 9260 adapter to work with the Z370 motherboard under Windows 10?

After reading about a dozen articles and compiling all the requirements for Miracast, I finally figured out the settings change required for the Intel AC-9260 wireless adapter. Apparently Miracast requires both the 2.4GHz capability and the 801.11 a,b,g,n
capability.

In the AC-9260 Adapter Configuration, there is an Advanced Setting named 802.11 n,ac Wireless Mode. It must be set to either Disabled or 802.11n. It cannot be set to 802.11ac.

And kudos to Microsoft folks. Changing the setting instantly updates all associated control panel and settings and made it relatively painless to exercise the changes and detemine the proper settings, without multiple reboots.
