Windows 10: IntelR 300 Series Chipset Family LPC Controller HM370 - A30D and ACPI\VEN_PNP&DEV_0A08

Hey there,

I recently did a clean installation for windows 10 20h2, i noticed in device manager system devices PCI express root complex with hardware id : using default microsoft driver dated 2006.

I googled ACPI\VEN_PNP&DEV_0A08 to found it's an AMD PCI Bus Driver , now the same device is parent to IntelR 300 Series Chipset Family LPC Controller HM370 is this correct? cause when am using browse for driver option it's picking and installing amdkmpfd.inf !!.

I have an Acer predator PH315-51-78NP with no AMD devices at all and have actually problems with battery charging and with couple of devices being not started Including IntelR PCIe Controller x16 - 1901 and No drivers are installed though configured for

IntelR Gaussian Mixture Model - 1911

IntelR SPI flash Controller - A324


IntelR Thermal Subsystem - A379

Appreciating any help in advance cause Acer said as long as your system is working no need for any investigations!!

Intel 200 and 300 series? Chipset driver issues.

For some reason under device manager there are both 200 and 300 series intel chipsets. Before I installed the 300 series drivers from dell's website,
there was only 200 series chipsets but everything was working fine with no errors before and after. Also when I go into properties all of the 200 series devices say that they are working fine but also say that there are no drivers installed. What the heck
is going on?





Specs:



Computer Model: Dell Inspiron 5680



Motherboard Chipset: Intel Z370



CPU: Intel Core I7-8700



OS: Fresh installed(Not oem) Windows 10 Home 64-bit



UPDATE: I went to the one 300 series driver that was installed from the dell website and clicked update driver to see what would happen. It updated
it and now the LPC controller is a 200 series driver. What the heck!? I also clicked that for the other ones but it said that you already have the best drivers installed. I checked windows update too but there was no driver updates.

Intel(R) 8 Series/C220 Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller

Since no one (including myself) can find the Intel Rapid Storage Technology (RST) Version 15.2.0.1020 WHQL Driver, I tried the 14.10.0.1016 Driver.

 

Intel(R) 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller – 1C2D and 1C26 and USBxHCI compliant Host Controller. Problems

It seems Windows 10 (and Windows update) automatically install the newest INF chipset driver which isn't truly matched with the older Intel 6 series chipset....

Solution: Install this chipset, overwrite any driver you have previously, even if it's newer; and restart your pc.
