My ethernet port occasionally disables itself because it detects an error, code 43, value 0000002B.Upon starting my PC, this ethernet port works just fine. Occasionally, it will become disabled, most commonly while I am playing games. This occurs both when I have an Xbox controller plugged in and when it is not plugged in. Upon opening Device Manager, the ethernet port has a red triangle with an exclamation mark, returning code 43 error. Upon going to properties and checking the problem code, it shows 0000002B. Windows stopped your device because it reported problems. To fix it, try the following:

Select the Start button, then in the search box next to Start, type device manager and select Device Manager from the list of results.

Find the problematic device in the list (it will often have a yellow exclamation point icon next to it).

Press and hold (or right-click) the name of the device, and select Properties. In Properties, select the Driver tab, select Roll Back Driver, then follow the steps. If the button is unavailable, that means there's no driver to roll back to.

Select Uninstall device and then select Uninstall.

At the top of the list of devices in Device Manager, press and hold (or right-click) the name of your PC, then select Scan for hardware changes. This reinstalls the device driver.

To see if this fixed the problem, press and hold (or right-click) the name of the device again and select Properties. On the General tab, under Device status, you should see This device is working properly. If you don’t see this message, refer to the documentation that came with the device or contact the manufacturer.

Network & Internet Status says Not Connected yet Ethernet is Connected!!

Tried the Network Troubleshooter several times but no luck.

When I checked the driver:

Intel(R) 82574L Gigabit Network Connection, Driver date 4/5/2016, version 12.15.22.6

there was no option for Compatibility Mode in properties.

I tried to update the driver but it said "The best drivers for your device are already installed."

Perhaps I need a different or newer driver? Any other suggestions would be appreciated!!

I repeat the question: what is the version of the driver currently in use of the Intel (R) 82574L Gigabit Network Connection network adapter?

Go to Device Management> network adapters, click on Intel (R) 82574L Gigabit Network Connection network adapter> Properties> Driver, report the date and version of the driver.

You have probably installed an incompatible driver version for your network card model.
