Artec Eva 3D scanner usb 3 compatible originally developed for usb 2 connection apparently, see link

I have just replaced my laptop Dell 7710 which runs the intel USB3.0 eXtensible Host Controller. with a Levono P17 Gen1 i9 10980HK, RTX5000, and a IntelR USB 3.1 eXtensible Host Controller - 1.10 Microsoft

There is a serious problem in scanning using any of the onboard USB slots which manifests itself in a reduced scanning frame rate which should be around 16frames per second, so much so that Artec’s solution to the problem is to get away from the onboard 3.1 controller and use Firewire dock that has its own USB controller thus bypassing the onboards controller to remedy this low frame rate, which i understand to a point

    https://artecgroup.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360005519194

However using firewire docs as a work around only reproduces on average 14.7 frames per second, which is worse than my old laptop and 5k cheaper!

the old Dell 7710 utilises IntelR USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller - 1.0 Microsoft which ran at just shy of 16 frames per seconds has left me at a total loss to a solution for this bottleneck that i am trying to squeeze through.

This laptop is brand new and all windows, bios and drivers are current

A pointer in the right direction would be invaluable as without a cure the laptop has to go back, only to be replaced with the same potential issue/problem!

Please advise as im getting pretty fed up and disillusioned and left wondering if the 3.0 driver would work here

  3. Intel® USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller Driver

My Lenovo G510 has 2 USB-3 ports. Updated windows 10 have changed USB Controller driver to 1.0 (Microsoft) resulting my USB 3 speed is not more than USB2.

My device is Intel (R) USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller (C220/C610) and windows does not allow to change driver even for testing purpose from Intel support site (Windows has determined that the best device driver already has been installed.) Any idea to
make my USB3 working as USB3. Tanks in advance.

VIA USB 3 eXtensible host controller 1.0 (microsoft) issue

    Of course.

Each time I do I receive an error message saying that the device is missing when I try to install the gigabyte drivers.

And when I restart the PC the Microsoft VIA USB 3 eXtensible Host Controller is still there as if the system re-installed it
