Hi,PC is on opposite end of the house from router, and is plugged into Ethernet.Recently bought a TP-Link AX3000 with the intention of using it for Hotspot-WIFI with Meta Quest 2 in the same room as my PC.Windows 10 Hotspot unable to create with 5GHz, only with 2.4Ghz does it work. Otherwise message 'The selected network band isn't available'.I have read to change settings under device manager:802.11acPreferred Band 5GhzDisable 6GHz I have read drivers may confuse 5/6GHz and 6GHz is not supported with WindowsDriver Version: 22.150.0.3It seems this is a known issue after researching, but ther

5ghz Hotspot not working

I have tried to set 6Ghz as the preferred band but it doesn't affect anything.

Although I mainly use the ethernet, I can connect to the router via Wi-Fi at 5ghz:

The Virgin Hub 4 uses the older Wi-Fi 5 standard (802.11ac), there's a new WiFi 6 model out but I haven't been e-mailed about the upgrade yet.

Setting the preferred band to no preference and the network band to any available, enables the hotspot but only at 2.4ghz

Disabling Bluetooth doesn't resolve the issue

Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter Limitations ????

My pc has an intel Ax210 wifi card (https://www.intel.com/content/www/u...6/intel-wifi-6e-ax210-gig/specifications.html).

I spent a few weeks trying to create a Wifi hotspot on 5Ghz or use wifi direct on 5Ghz. However, all connections through the Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter are limited to 2.4 GHz at 144 Mbps. When I select 5ghz in Wifi hotspot, the error that selected band is not available appears. I believe this limitation is due to Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter (2.4 Ghz -144 Mbps).

Is there any way to change Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter settings?
