    Interactive Shell


    Hello. When I turn on my computer, I am shown a menu that says “UEFI Interactive Shell v2.2” When I type exit into the shell, I am sent to the Aptio Setup - AMI. I’ve tried restarted my computer but that doesn’t work. Please help.

    Hi!

    So I have an Asus laptop, but when I try to boot it up, it shows the Asus logo, as per usual, but then it shows me a screen that states:

    UEFI Interactive Shell v2.2

    EDK II

    UEFI v2.70 (American Megatrends, 0x00050013)

    map: No mapping found

    Press ESC in 1 second to skip startup.nsh or any other key to continue.

    Shell>

    How do I get out of this?

    Unlocked Realtek HD Audio Drivers Windows 7 & 8 (With Dolby Digital Live and DTS Interactive)

    Wait, but have you done the whole step-by-step guide described in the OP? DDL/DTS isn't supported natively by Windows 8/8.1 either, unless if you do the steps listed there.

    How can I remove this virus remnant?

    I was also going to suggest Autoruns.

    Check to make sure it isn't attaching itself to explorer. It should be the 3rd thing listed in Autoruns, the listing for the Shell. It should just be Explorer.exe. If it is anything else, that might be your problem.
