Windows 10: Intermittant issue with various apps appearing to start in a minimised state and unable to...

I recently installed Windows 11 Home on a new build for a client. All updates and drivers are up to date.The issue first occurred with the Settings app; we'd start the app - note that it appears in the task bar - but doesn't appear elsewhere on the screen. Hovering over the taskbar entry showed the expected thumbnail, but even clicking the thumbnail doesn't show the app on the monitor. It's not possible to right-click the taskbar icon and choose maximise either. All we can do is close it; and when we restart the app it does the same thing again. unable to minimise

I am unable to minimise screen having to close and reopen unable to have more than one screen open at a time. Please instruct how to change this.

 

minimise single window keyboard shortcut


So setpoint with an anywhere mouse has a minimise shortcut option to associate with a button on the mouse, works fine. this is with my wireless anywhere mouse

but g400 with logitech gaming software, there is no minimise option, and no keyboard shortcut minimises just one window !

so tilting
i use my two thumb buttons as minimise and close window, it makes working in windows a lot smoother/faster

any suggestions on this unable to minimise shortcut option?

- Firetray is an add-on which will hide Thunderbird to the tray, not the taskbar.

Download the xpi file, then from Thunderbird, install it as an add-on from that file.
