  1. Intermittent BSOD's

So I recently began getting some BSOD's out of nowhere, It started after I was overclocking only a small amount during the weekend, it wasn't as effective as I had hoped so I have had it set to default since last saturday.

I had thought that it was a bluetooth component causing the issue due to it showing btshub in my event viewer but today it BSOD'ed without the hub trned on.

As for what I had been doing previous to the BSOD, I hadn't been playing games, only started chrome, discord, and began to work on some homework

    (1001)The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000007e (0xffffffffc0000005, 0xfffff80004f09c37, 0xffffe88da167d668, 0xffffe88da167ceb0). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 796749da-4c12-482c-883c-5854d1036cd0.

Here is a link with the resulting minidump, my speccy sheet, and my MSC info.

After I turned off the BTShub that was causing errors I had thought it was fixed but just today out of nowhere this BSOD got me.

Thanks in advance for any help you all can provide

    :)

    Intermittent BSOD

I've been getting these intermittent BSOD's and I don't know why. I've been running the same settings that have proved stable through rigorous months of F@H/WCG and stability tests. My memory should be stable, I've tested it with Memtest86+ (the bootable ISO version). My CPU should be stable, I've tested it with 6 hours of OCCT Linpack. My GPU should be stable, it's ran F@H flawlessly for about 2 months now, and it's passed testing with Furmark and the OCCT GPU test.

I've undervolted my processor to 1.30v from 1.325v stock... I have put it back to stock voltage. We'll see how it goes.

Kernel security check failure BSOD (intermittent -ish)

Check C:\Windows\Minidump\ for the most recent files, select them, right click > copy > zip and upload the zip.

Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.

    • Uninstall Daemon Tools
    • Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
      • Double click the executable to open it
      • Click on the button shown below

If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window

    Random BSOD while browsing internet

BitDefender is nothing special. mwac.sys causes BSODs anywhere.
A tiny documentation can be found here: Solved Random BSODs - Windows 10 Forums
In that very thread, the suggested action apparently worked.

The storage and network filters of any third party antivirus can cause BSODs. Neither MBAM nor BitDefender is any special. For a regular antivirus, it may be shifted to an alternative; but MBAM has no alternative. So a clean install of the said program is the most feasible first step.
As far as the first step is not failing, it is better to not think for the second step. Because the BSODs are not universal, failure at the first step is not universal; and success at the second step is also not universal.
That is why I posted that my suggestion may work, or may not. Let us see where it goes.
