Windows 10: Intermittent CPU Usage spikes due to Powershell

I have recently noticed that on my old machine HP Elite 8000 SFF, I see Powershell CPU usage spike every now and then. It has the latest updates, no malware or antivirus software other than windows defender.Following is my configuration rocessor IntelR CoreTM2 Quad CPU Q9550 @ 2.83GHz 2.83 GHz Installed RAM 8.00 GB 7.87 GB usable System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor Pen and touch No pen or touch input is available for this display Edition Windows 10 Pro Version 21H2 Installed on ‎28-‎08-‎2021 OS build 19044.1706 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 12

Audiodg.exe Spikes Cpu Usage

Every 5 minutes or so audiodg.exe spikes my cpu usage to about 50% and any audio im playing cuts out and then comes back a second or 2 later. The video is completely fine and it's not a problem with
my USB Headset. audiodg.exe stays at low cpu usage when it's not spiking.

Solutions I've tried:

1. turning off audio enhancements
2. reinstalling lan, and audio drivers
3. turning off HPET
4. lowering the sound quality in control panel
5. DPC Latency checker (no change when spiking)

None of these solutions work. Please help.

 

Powershell and high cpu usage

I have a Toshiba Satellite running Win 10 with the latest update and Norton 360. At times programmes are unresponsive for some seconds. After startup but without running any programmes Task Manager shows spikes up to 100% of very high CPU and disk usage.
This is mainly caused by powershell 32 bit which starts, spikes and disappears all the time. I have disabled powershell but it has not stopped it appearing and disappearing from the list of processes. Is this normal? I might be incorrectly attributing
unresponsive programmes to powershell activities.

I have scanned, using Norton, for security issues but nothing has been revealed.

There was a similar question on this topic some years ago but the thread closed before a solution was posted. Can anyone enlighten me please?

 

Explorer constantly spiking CPU usage for Win 10

Hi. Thank you for your answer. I tried all your suggestions, but nothing helped.

Clean bot seems helped at first but no after some hours spikes came back and now spiking more often with every hour of PC working.

Same happened also without clean boot.

Any other suggestions what to try ?

Just to let you know that I worked with Win 7 before with even more programs installed than now and I did not switched off my PC for weeks and CPU usage was lower in general not to talk about any spikes in CPU, newer noticed anything like that...
