Windows 10: Intermittent dropouts with Bluetooth / WiFi module and Ethernet port on any Windows 10...

Hi there,


I seem to be having a weird problem where my WiFi/Bluetooth module and Ethernet port would intermittently dropout. It's happened to my past 2 laptops and I've already tried updating device drivers, firmware and chipset drivers for all 3 laptops. I'm also running a very reputable virus scanner that detected no threats. My guess it's some sort of setting or file from OneDrive that's causing these issues.






I'm not saying all copies of Windows 10 are like this, just this particular Microsoft account and any laptops accessing it.

Bluetooth in windows 10

My computer specs are as listed in the profile. I think all of you guys are correct. I don't have built-in Bluetooth in mobo.

I contacted skull candy headphones and thy have told me if I do not have built-in Bluetooth, I would need a dongle which supports at least a2dp. I do not know what the heck that means. I have a feeling I would need more than a cheap dongle.

Anyone suggest some a2dp adapters. I searched but don't know what a2dp is so couldn't make a decision

 

Ethernet port works intermittently

It could be the port connector on the ethernet card. If you move the cable does the connection go in and out?

Have you performed the troubleshooting steps mentioned by Deepak_Krishnan R? What is the updated status?



If the issue persists, download and install the latest WIFI and Bluetooth drivers and see if it resolves the issue.

You can also try installing the drivers in compatibility mode.

Follow the below procedure and check.

  Locate the executable file (.exe file) for the software installation program.
  
• 
  Right-click the file, and then clickProperties.
  
• 
  In the Package Name Properties dialog box, click the
  Compatibility tab.
  
• 
  Click to select the Run this program in compatibility mode
  for check box, click Windows 8 with which it is compatible with in the Run this program in compatibility mode for list, and then click
  OK.
  
• 
  Double-click the executable file to start the installation program.
