Windows 10: intermittent hesitation and hanging

I have noticed that my windows 10 desktop has been hesitating or hanging up more lately. When it does it, nothing will work. If I wait awhile, eventually it seems to correct itself. It's almost like it's looking for something or scanning something and everything else takes a back seat until it's done! I am not sure what events are causing it....there are a few that show up as "Information".......but there's a couple that keep occuring that definitely show up as an "Error". I am not sure which is making my computer hang up, but would love to find out how to fix it. Thanks in advance.

Windows 10 Search hangs

pc 'hangs' or freezes randomly

While in use suddenly nothing responds to mouse or keyboard for long minutes, then starts up again ok for a few minutes. Have tried all usual restart/etc. online suggestions without luck.

Have found in Task Manager - Processes - there are listed 4 'Suspended" items, Could they be the culprits causing the 'hang or freeze'.

Can't determine exactly what the suspended are so am hesitant to 'End Task' them.

 

Windows 10 update hangs on downloading updates at 98%

Hi vinodh,

In step 3 you state to press enter after after each command but its written like one sentence,could you list them so we can identify each command please.my pc just hangs on "checking for updates" so i installed the win 10 updater and that just hangs on 99%
so i will try what you suggest above.
