Windows 10: intermittent loss of trackpad mouse related to intermittent popping up of 'Type here search...

HIFirst off, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the touchpad driver. My problem is a difficult one, and I've already had the help of someone which took several hours. Basically, intermittently - it can be once a month, once a week, once every two weeks - I lose control of the trackpad mouse. The external mouse still works, but I prefer to use the trackpad. What it does is magnify the view - 150, 200, 300% and scroll the screen up and down. I cannot get it to click anywhere, including to shut anything down. All I can do when this happens is restart the pc which, as you can imagine, is a sc

USB mouse works intermittently

My usb mouse only works intermittently (disappears and reappears. When I go to device manager and highlight the mouse, the device manager list of devices goes through a cycle of reappearing and disappearing. How can I get the mouse to work without interruption?
I have tried updating and reinstalling the drives. I have also changed the power saver settings so that the usb ports do not shut off.

 

Search bar intermittently fills with 9's

Hello,

I tried the above suggestions but they didn't work or didn't apply.

This happens when I use any type of search bar, whether it's through google, netflix, youtube, search in task bar.... etc..

It doesn't happen every time, but intermittently.

I've run update searches and troubleshoots through windows and they haven't helped either.

 

Firefox is already running - intermittent pop-up - why?

Suggestion: On one machine only for test purposes use the 32bit version of Firefox and disable update checking which would install the 64bit version by default.

Remove Default Release profile and set another profile as default.
