Windows 10: Intermittent mic cutouts in web browsers - Windows 11

I have a problem that's really got me stumped. If you have a solution I'd appreciate it, but even ideas about further debugging/investigation to narrow it down would be a huge help.Problem: Between a few seconds, to a few minutes of use in any browser app, my mic goes from working to making a noise of digital static and not picking up any real input at all. It affects each tab individually.The noise carries on indefinitely, and can be fixed by either refreshing the tab, by unplugging and plugging the microphone in, or in some web apps by changing the source and changing it back. A Faster Web Browser for Windows 10?

You always have the option to use other browsers, however I strongly suggest that you use Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer because of the newer features. To address your issue we are going to enable your Flash Player Plugin. Kindly follow these steps:

• Click the "..." button on the upper right corner of your Edge browser.
• Click on Settings.
• Under Advanced settings section, click the View advanced settings button.
• Locate the Use Adobe Flash Player section and toggle the switch on to enable Adobe Flash Player.
• Refresh your web page or open a new browser tab.

Let's see how it behaves.

USB Mic Problems.

The next step is what I suggested originally. Try it in a friend's PC or take it to Best Buy and ask them to try it one of their PC's. Have to confirm the mic is working OK.

Step 1:

Go to Search box next to Windows icon and type Default app Settings

Step 2:

Click to open Default app Settings

Step 3:

Under choose, default apps scroll down to see the Web browser

Step 4:

Click on the Browser shown to get the default browsers list to select from

Step 5:

Select Google Chrome
