Windows 10: Intermittent problem with Windows Hello face sign-in.

I have an ASUS Zenbook Windows 11 version 23H2 purchased 04/2024. Updates installed and camera working. Face sign-in worked until 2024-06-28. At this time face sign-in failed to work with message "Camera failed to turn on" cannot provide screenshot as face recognition is now uninstalled and cannot complete set up as it fails. Camera diagnostics complete successfully, etc etc.A couple of times I have 'removed' face recognition and successfully performed the sign-in set up again. Face recognition has then worked for a few days before failing again.The most common result during the face recogni

As per your query, I suggest you to change the Sign In option and check if it helps.

To change Sign In option, follow the below steps.

• 
  Type Setting in the search area on the taskbar and select
  Settings.
  
• 
  Select Accounts.
  
• 
  Select Sign In option on the left panel.

Logon intermittently bypasses Windows Hello Fingerprint

Hello Mosken,

When I didn't hear back from you I went ahead and re-set my Windows Hello Fingerprint. Three logons (with shutdowns in between) worked perfectly yesterday. But the first logon for today it was back to its old intermittent self to bypass Windows Hello and go straight to the desktop, with no security.

So, just like all the other 'fixes' I've tried over the past 2+ weeks, your four steps can be added to the list of all the things that don't work for this Windows Hello intermittent bypass and proceed straight to Windows Desktop issue.

Any other suggestions?
