Discus and support Internal Blu-Ray Drive Not Recognized in Explorer in Windows 10 Gaming to solve the problem; I upgraded to Windows 11 and now my blu-ray drive isn't recognized.It shows in the Device Manager and "working properly", but not showing in Windows...     Internal Blu-Ray Drive Not Recognized in Explorer


    I upgraded to Windows 11 and now my blu-ray drive isn't recognized.It shows in the Device Manager and "working properly", but not showing in Windows Explorer. When i put a disc in, nothing happens. Drivers are up-to-date

    External Blu Ray drive not showing up in windows explorer

    I plug in a LG portable super multi blue rewrite drive and is shows up in my computer, device manager, disk management however does not show in windows explorer.

    I can change the drive letter but it will not recognize the drive or blank Blu ray writable disk.

    I can insert a blu ray movie and it will play but once I insert a blank writable blu ray it disappears

    please help

    Windows 11 Recognizing Blu-ray Drive as CD/DVD-ROM

    I have VLC, yes, but you should still be able to recognize that there's a disc in the drive even if you're not actively playing it. It doesn't recognize Blu-ray discs. I can "explore" a CD or play it, "explore" a DVD or play it, but I can do nothing with a Blu. It appears as if the drive is empty even with a disc.

    Hi Josh

    Do you have an internal Blu Ray writer in your PC, if so, there is no need to purchase an external drive, if you do not have an internal Blu Ray drive, then yes, you will need to purchase a Blu Ray drive

    Can you please explain whether you do have an internal drive and if so, what are the difficulties you are encountering?
