    internal hard drive shows up in bios and device manager but NOT in diskmanager


    Got a seagate barracuda 4 TB internal drive for my old DELL Inspiron 3847. I have tried updating every possible driver with help of DELL support assist/windows update and Intel but only get this depressing message from DM:"Device SCSI\Disk&Ven_ST4000DM&Prod_ST4000DM004-2CV1\4&8e33330&0&010000 was not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match."How do i make windows recognize the drive? Thanks for help!/Henrik

    Internal SATA drive show on Device Manager But not on Explorer listing

    I used up all the allowed space in the title there - couldn't put a question mark on the end.

    internal hard drive shows up in bios and device manager but NOT in diskmanager :)

    Wonder why I can't see the WD hard drive I just hooked up to a SATA port on my H170 board?

    There are currently two seagate drive SATA connected and the DVD drive. And an external Seagate on USB.

    I put the WD in and I can see it in device manager but nowhere else.

    internal hard drives showing as external removable devices

    Tried checking write caching in device manager, it was enabled
    looked in bios for hot swap or hot plug setting, it was disabled
    I also installed all the drivers from the motherboard driver disk to see if there were drivers for the sata controller that would fix the issue, no luck there either.

    Make Rufus show internal hard drives

    I wanted to install Windows on my other hard drive with Rufus by using Windows10 ISO and without using any external USB/CD/DVD.

    So I plugged in the other drive to my motherboard and I can see the drive on my PC, as well as DiskManager.

    However, Rufus doesn't show it..?

    How to make Rufus show internal hard drives?
