  1. Internal HDD connected as USB not Recognised

Hi, I have 500GB HDD which is an Internal HDD connected through SATA-to-USB Connector. Now here's the problem, I assigns my Disk a Drive letter after some time if I disconnect it to transport it and connect back the Disk doesn't show up as drive rather I have to get into Disk Management to assign it a drive letter again which needs my drive to be formatted. I'm loosing my data. What should be the fix?Is there issue with SATA-to-USB connector. I want to make this Internal HDD work as an External HDD Which can be transported to anywhere and connect to any computer hassle free.

    :)

  2. Unable to connect USB Hard Drives to laptop

    After having connected a
    Sisun HDD docking station
to my Sony Laptop , Windows Explorer refuses to recognise any USB hard drive (although other software such as a disk utility can) and I am therefore unable to save files to these drives. Windows does recognise some USB pen drives
    but larger HDD are not recognised. To date, I have;

    • Uninstalled the USB controllers through Device manager (forcing Windows to reinstall them on reboot); and
    • Run both the WinUSB and DeviceDiagnostic software to no avail.
I'd rather not do a clean reinstall of Windows as I am unable to backup my files. Any other suggestions?

  3. HDD in a HDD caddy is not showing up in the disk management

    Hi,

To assist you better, I would like to ask some questions:

    • How are you connecting the HDD Caddy?
    • What is the make and model of your computer?

If you are connecting the device using USB, I suggest you to check if other USB devices are recognized as USB devices or Other device. If it is displaying as other device, then the issue might be with the USB port. So, I suggest you to update the USB drivers
    by following the steps below:

    • Press Windows key + X, select Device Manager.
    • Expand Universal Serial Bus Controller.
    • Right click on the drive, select Update Driver Software and follow the on-screen prompts.

Keep us posted on the status for further assistance.

Internal HDD connected as USB not Recognised

    USB HDD driver??

Running HP ENVY 750-514 with Windows 10. Internal drive bays are full so am trying to use an external SATA 200Mb Samsung SP2004C drive connected through a USB 3.0 to SATA Hard Drive Adapter (drive has some old data I want to transfer). The drive is recognized
in ControlPanelDevices but doesn't list in Windows Explorer, therefore it's not accessible.

Device properties list the device as SAMSUNG SP2004C SCSI Disk Device, and list driver details as using DISK.SYS, EhStorClass.sys, or partmgr.sys. But SCSI?? It's a SATA device??

Another drive connected through USB is recognized as Seagate FreeAgent USB Device, and list driver details as using the same three files.

    Anyone suggestions please? Thanks.
