Windows 10: Internal Keyboard showing as Standard PS/2 Keyboard in Device Manager

Sr, I am using Windows 10 on my Lenovo Laptop. My PC was OK till I connected a PS/2 keyboard on it. After I disconnected that PS/2 keyboard, My internal Keyboard is badly working i.e it is autotyping a particular key randomly and whenever I go on Device Manager, The keyboard Driver is showing as Standard PS/2 keyboard though there is not any PS/2 keyboard connected. I have uninstalled the keyboard driver and restarted my PC but there is a beeping sound and the Standard PS/2 keyboard driver is back on device manager. I have also removed my internal Keyboard and reinstalled it but no difference was made. I have also attached the Standard PS/2 keyboard again but nothing worked. I also uninstalled and reinstalled Windows 10 but nothing actually worked. Should I buy a new internal Keyboard? Will that fix the problem? I actually don't know why is my internal Keyboard is showing as Standard PS/2 keyboard in device manager. Please help and suggest me what to do to fix this.

Exlamation Point next to ps/2 mouse and keyboard


In device manager, when going to the view tab and clicking show hidden devices I have exclamation points next to Standard PS/2 Keyboard and Microsoft PS/2 Mouse. I can uninstall, but after reboot they appear again. My motherboard does not even have PS/2 outlets, only USB.

I have downloaded and installed the latest intel chipset drivers 10.1.2.10. The errors showed up before and after the chipset update.

After running perfmon /report I get errors for both of these.

After I uninstall both of these in device manager and run perfmon /report I do not get the errors, however they reappear after a re-boot.

Any suggested solutions?

I ran the keyboard troubleshooter twice, with the USB keyboard connected and with it unplugged, with the same result: "Troubleshooting has completed - No changes or updates were necessary." I then ran Hardware and Devices troubleshooter. It came up with
a list showing ps/2 mouse and standard ps/2 keyboard. I clicked on keyboard with result: "Troubleshooting couldn't identify the problem."
