Windows 10: Internal microphone is NOT WORKING since upgrading to Windows 11

ASUS Q406D internal microphone is not working since upgrading to Windows 11.When searching in Chrome or Edge, I am unable to ask a question via initernal microphone and get a response. The system keeps responding with "Check your micrphone and audio levels". I have attempted to troubleshoot this WIndows Troubleshooting as well as using guidance from both YouTube and Google and am uable to resolve my issue. Under System --> Sound --> Volume Mixer --> Apps --> System Sound is set at 100 and Sound is set to 1 and I am unable to change this setting. Is this a problem?I have checked dri

Internal Microphone; Gone After Windows 10 Upgrade

My internal laptop microphone worked until I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10. I first noticed upon entering a Zoom meeting and no recording devices were recognized. This was one day after successfully using the microphone with Windows 7. Here are observations
from what I've tried:

• I have allowed mic access in privacy settings
  
• There's no input device found in the sound settings
• I can't "test" the microphone because it's not recognizing one
• When I "troubleshoot," the device list shows two microphones; however, it refers to audio jacks, not an internal microphone
• I went to the Device Manager to see if I could update the microphone drivers; however, no drivers are listed here to update

I'm at a loss for next steps. How do I get Windows 10 to recognize the microphone in my laptop following the Windows 10 upgrade?

 

Internal microphone not working

Hello all, I got a new laptop (ASUS Zenbook). Everything was working for a few weeks and now the internal microphone stopped working when I turn on headphones (not headset - headphones without microphone).

I tried video chatting and I could hear sounds but I cannot speak. But without the headphones, I can speak.

• This is the same headphone and I could speak before.
• I am sure that the microphone is enabled, and set as the default microphone.
• All my windows updates are updated.
• I restarted twice.

I have windows 10 installed on it.
