    internal microphone problem


    the microphone on my asus zenbook ux410ua laptop has stopped working. I have followed several of the instructions on this site in response to previous similar questions, with no effect. in my device manager there is only one driver in "audio inputs and outputs" that is spekers 2- conexant smartaudio hd even when i viewed as show hidden devices. but there shows internal microphone in control panel, and its working here, but when i start recording with voice recorder or camera or audacity app it doesn't work. please advise if you can assist me resolve this issue. internal microphone problem 933033bd-38a1-44df-ac41-b04de0ec4575?upload=true.png internal microphone problem da9012be-0aa5-44f7-8643-fa439084c54e?upload=true.png

    If the internal microphone of your device is muting on its own, it can be due to an incompatible driver, broken system components or a software conflict has occurred. To isolate your concern, we’d like to confirm if you’ve made some
    changes and updates on your computer prior to the issue.

    Additionally, we suggest that you run the troubleshooter to fix any sound issues. Please check this
    article for the instructions and choose from the drop-down list for other troubleshooting
    steps that you can follow.

    This issue might occur if there is change in sound settings.

    To assist you better, please provided us the information below:

    • When you say that "latest drivers", how exactly have you update the drivers? Is it through Device Manager?
    • What is the make and model of the computer?
    • Are you facing any issues with using external microphone on the computer?

    We'd like to confirm if you're still unable to utilize the internal microphone after installing the update? If yes, as an initial step to get the microphone working again, we suggest that you update the driver under
    Audio Inputs and Outputs in the Device Manager. The steps on how to update the device driver on your device can be found on this
    link.
