Windows 10: Internal_Power_Error after powering up unplugged laptop.

Hello, I have blue screens of death since i bought my laptop 3 years ago, and they all happen when i turn on the computer. I noticed that the blue screens happen when my laptop was shut down while powered by the charger, and then turned on unplugged. The name of the errors varied accross the time, but the latest i got a hold on was the INTERNAL_POWER_ERROR. I found a minidump file for the first time, but it may be related to a blue screen i had yesterday while stress testing the laptop whith Prime_95 the stress test error was EXCEPTION ON INVALID STACK.Useful data :Laptop : ASUS VIVOBOOK X57

Windows won't boot up when unplug laptop power source

The problem is that, if i didn't unplug the power source from the laptop(ie : i just leave it connected to the power source) the laptop can boot just fine. The problem happens when i unplug the power source, and plug in back with the power source, the laptop
will go black screen after the acer logo

 

My laptop upgraded to Windows 10 and now it's been stuck on the blue shutting down screen for days. Help.

As per the screen shot that you have send, I suggest that you perform Power Drain and check if you are able to access your desktop. To do so follow the steps below

• Unplug the charger and remove the battery of your laptop, if using a desktop remove the power cord.
• Press and hold the Power button for 30sec
• Plug the charger/power cord and restart system

Screen turns off when you unplug the laptop from AC power

When I unplug my awake (not sleeping) laptop from AC power, very often it immediately turns off the screen or even falls asleep.

I think I have found the root cause of this. My power options are the following:

I started an online stopwatch, and didn't move the mouse afterwards. At 1 min I have unplugged the laptop from AC power. At 2 mins the screen went off. Therefore I determined, that unplugging the power cord is not considered a user action. So when the laptop is idle for 2-5 mins when I unplug it, the screen immediately goes off, and if it is idle for 5-10 mins, it immediately goes to sleep.

I think, unplugging should be taken as a user action, i.e. the idle timer should restart when you unplug the laptop.
