Windows 10: International rebuilt with no activation key for home Windows upgrade: U.S. key purchase...

I am an expat in Mexico and bought a rebuilt online. The rebuilt was done with a company activation key and now I need to buy a Windows 10 or 11 activation key for a home pc to load on my Franken-computer upgraded RAM and OS. My question: is it possible for me to have a Dell device bought in Mexico and also purchase a digital Windows key upgrade from the U.S.? I would prefer to keep my regional settings compatible with the U.S. region due to travel/work in the future. I know I will have to do a clean reset when installing new key, does this mean I will lose all apps firewall, book publishin

Where to purchase an activation key (cheap)

I HAD a windows 7 PC and I decided to upgrade it to Windows 10, however, I did not do an upgrade, but rather a fresh install. I thought that it would be okay, but no, I guess I can't just do a fresh install and expect it to work. Anyway, where can I purchase a Windows 10 activation key, cheap?

Windows 8.1 pro + WMC key activation

So it will be fine installing 8.1 pro with a KMS key, then switch to my 8 pro key and it will activate ok?

Maybe a daft question but why can't you just install 8.1 pro with the 8 pro key, or is it different keys for 8 and 8.1? seems silly when 8.1 is a free update anyway.

There is no difference between the OEM disc and the Retail disc with Windows 7. A retail disc will accept a OEM or Retail key, and vise versa.

If the OEM Key wasn't going to work with the disc you have, it would have stopped you during the install when it first asked you for the key, not during activation.

What is likely the problem is that, since the OEM version has already been activated once, it is failing activation again. Activate it over the phone using the option given to you on the failed activation screen, and you shouldn't have a problem activating it.
