Windows 10: Internet and browsing working perfectly but can't connect to online games

Hi there,Starting last night I'm suddenly unable to connect to online games. Internet browsing, speed tests etc still working perfectly but I'm having extreme difficulty connecting to online games like Apex and Fortnite. Mostly I can't connect to servers at all, sometimes after extremely long wait times I can get through but with insanely high ping 4000+. I'm running a HP Omen 15 laptop, windows 11, V 22H2.I've tried a few different fixes from various forums, reinstalled network drivers, DNS flushed, factory reset my router, played around with firewall settings but nothing has worked so far.

well, hopefully you don't run into further problems with your internet down the road. I used to work as tech support for at&t and the 1st thing we check when there's no internet connection but can ping a website is always the proxy server *Smile

basically troubleshooting steps are - check if network adapter is enabled > check if able to ping > and if no, then check proxy settings, hehehe...

• Have you tried connecting to the internet using a wired connection?
• When did the issue start?
• Does this happen with all websites?
  
• What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

i tend to forget proxy settings, but i always remember to check IP address and DNS settings.
