Windows 10: Internet Connection Sharing, ASIX AX88179 USB to Ethernet to PS4

Hello, I'm looking for any help or ideas regarding an issue i'm recently having with using Internet Connection Sharing from my Laptop's ASUS K501UW AB78 Network Connection Ethernet to a ASIX AX88179 USB 3.0 Ethernet Adapter for my PS4's Internet connection.This has worked perfectly fine for 2 years or so. Now I'm suddenly having an issue where I share the internet with the PS4 and it's as if the PS4 is just stealing all of the internet my PC. Usually I can share the internet with the PS4 but still use my laptop to access websites, youtube, etc. I've tried the most POWERFUL ALL FIX Method:

ASIX AX88179 USB3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter not working in USB3.0 port

Following the latest Windows 10 update ( 1803 build 17134.285 ) I notice that my USB3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter is no longer working. It does not switch from WiFi to ethernet in the taskbar when connected.

Oddly this is ONLY happening when I plug it into either of my USB 3.0 ports - it works normally when I plug it into the USB 2.0 port on the laptop.

When I check in device manager there is nothing there under Network Adapters unless it is connected to the USB 2.0 port when I can see it as "ASIX AX88179 USB3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter".

When I plug it into the USB 3.0 it is as though I have not plugged anything into the port. i.e. no Windows sound plays, no taskbar icon for Eject Device etc.

Anyone know if the latest updates have any mods to the USB controllers or something ?

Ethernet detected but "No Internet Access"

Hello, first post or whatever and it's a call for help, so my laptop's ethernet port and/or the network driver itself seems to be having problems, specifically it can detect the ethernet but no internet access, so I bought a USB 3.0 to Ethernet adapter
(ASIX AX88179) since I need a good wired internet connection compared to wireless. So I've already installed the Asix driver for Windows 10 for the adapter and it detects the ethernet but still no internet access. I've tried the disable-enable within the control
panel and device manager but nothing changed.

My laptop's in Windows 10. My USB drivers are updated, I can access internet via wifi but I need the stability of wired connection. I've disabled/uninstalled VPNs and firewall to no avail.

I've browsed online on other solutions but having no feedback on what I'm getting on my command prompt is getting me nowhere since I'm not really versed on computer setting stuff.

Onboard Realtek Lan not working on Windows 10 Upgrade

KenMcA, sorry it didn't work out. Before I found the BIOS setting, I connected to the Internet using a USB 3 to Gbit Ethernet adapter (ASIX AX88179), which costs about 25$ or so.
