Windows 10: Internet connection slow on startup

Discus and support Internet connection slow on startup in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; Around 10 months ago I noticed that my wife does not automatically connect on startup which is annoying as many of my programmes like steam and Skype...     Internet connection slow on startup


    Around 10 months ago I noticed that my wife does not automatically connect on startup which is annoying as many of my programmes like steam and Skype now attempt to run before my computer is connected to the internet. After about 3 minutes it then does automatically connect to the WiFi but it is really annoying!

    We realize the inconvenience you are experiencing with slow Internet Connection. We will certainly help you.

    • Have you installed all pending Windows updates?
    • Have you tried connecting to some other Internet connection and check if the same issue occurs?

    We suggest you to connect your system to some other network and check if the same slow Internet connection issue persists. If no then there must be issue with your Internet connection.

    Slow Startup

    Does anybody know why I am having really slow system startups? I don't have extra startup programs than I use to have. The only thing that I think it could be is my antivirus program. I use AVG now since I reformated 2 days ago..and every since then, I have a really slow startup..I don't know if that is the reason..Does anybody have any suggestions, on how to speed my startup? I use to be able to be on my desktop screen in like 35-40 seconds at most. And now it is way over a minute. Any help would be gr8.

    • What is the make and model of the laptop?
    • What is the Windows 10 version and Build installed? (Type winver in Windows search/Run command)
    • What type of internet connection are you using (wired/wireless)?
    • Are you facing lag issue with any other device like a smart phone or a different laptop to the same network?
    • Do you face the same issue connecting the Laptop to a different network?
    • Did you try connecting the laptop using an Ethernet cable?
