Windows 10: Internet connection slows down once i connect to MIFI.

It happens only when i connect to my mifi, I haven't tested it with other type of tethered connection but the internet speed is just like the usual on my phone and my ipad. It has 1 Mbps. but once i try to connect to mifi in my computer, the connection is really slow, less than 70KBps. I tried to disable the autotune stuff but it doesn't work, can someone help regarding this matter?

Broadband Verizon MiFi Internet Connection

Have not yet tried the suggested actions. Awaiting response to my additional questions.

Original problem still exists. If I power off the Dell, Windows 10 will not automatically connect me to the Verizon MiFi when I power it back on. Have to go through trouble shooting routine. If I do NOT power down the computer or put it to "sleep" the connection
is maintained.

Had another episode of invalid IP address when powering up. Same solution as previously outlined.

Windows 10 Enterprise - Unable to auto connect to Verizon Mifi

Hello,

I have a Verizon Mifi Jetpack that I am unable to connect to using Windows 10 Enterprise. If I reimage the same machine with Windows 10 Pro it connects just fine.

When attempting to connect it hangs at "Checking network requirements..." and never returns. Never gives an error and never prompts for a password. If I manually create the network profile for the wireless connection I am able to connect.

Steps tried to resolve issue:

1. Tried switching from 2.4GHz to 5GHz on Mifi
2. Tried switching authentication protocols on Mifi (WPA2 AES, WPA2 TKIP etc..)
3. Tried deploying Windows 10 Enterprise on different machines. Same issue (Surface Book w/ Marvell NIC; Dell Laptop w/ Intel NIC)
4. Tested with updated drivers on the laptop with an Intel NIC.

Any ideas on this one? I've tried doing netmon and netsh traces and procmon traces but I can't seem to spot anything.

Broadband Verizon MiFi Internet Connection

While computer was still connected to internet, I followed your instructions. In "network adapters" I chose "Intel (R) wireless WiFi link 4965AGN" and then "automatic search". I got the following messages:

"The best driver software for your device is already installed"

"Windows has determined the driver software for your device is up to date"

I then "shutdown" the computer and powered it back up. It did not connect to the internet. I went to the broadband icon in the task bar (lower right of screen) and ran the troubleshooter. The troubleshooter then reported: "troubleshooting couldn't identify
problem".

I then shut down my Verizon MiFi device (unplugged and turned it off) for a few minutes and then re-powered it.

Restarted my dell computer and noticed that the broadband icon in the task bar was no longer displayed on the desk top screen. HOWEVER, when I went to Google, I was connected to the internet!!!! I also tried Bing and I was connected. I then Shutdown the
computer and re-powered. Still no broadband icon but I was connected to the internet. I then put the computer to sleep and re-powered. Still no broadband icon, but I was connected to the internet.

So far it seems as though your suggestion is working (even though I saw no messages indicating that anything was corrected or changed).

BUT---how can I get the broadband icon back into the task bar?
