Windows 10: Internet connectivity problem post-Window updates

I'm not a tech-savvy person but I really need help. My wifi icon keeps getting randomly disappeared and I cannot access the wifi even though it's working fine on my smartphone. When I run a diagnose, the result is always 'ethernet not plugged in.'


So, I tried many methods that are recommended on the web, mostly, turning the laptop off and on again. Sometimes, it works, sometimes not. This is very frustrating. So, I heard that the problem might be because of Windows updates and they might be the cause of my problem because I realized the wifi problem often happens whenever the laptop needs an update. I want to know how long this issue is gonna get fixed? And do I need to update to Windows 10, version 2004 now? Because I'm very afraid, it is going to break my laptop.

Internet connection problem

I don't know what's wrong; I would get the the little yield sign on the wireless, so I'd tell Windows to figure it out and it said it couldn't contact the DNS, so I opened the OpenDNS updater thingy and it said it couldn't connect to the internet, so I restarted the modem and then everything was peachy (until it happened again).

I haven't had any problems since I posted it (so far), but we'll see.

 

Windows 10 apps connection problem.

I suggest you to try few of the below troubleshooting steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: Run WSReset.exe .

• Press Windows+R key to open
  Run box
• Enter wsreset.exe in the Run command and then tap or click
  OK.
• Restart your computer and check.

Step 2: I suggest you to check with the system Date, time and Time zone
is set correct.

Follow the steps to set the date and time:

• Type “Date and Time” in the search bar.
• Click Change date and time button.
• Click Apply and Ok to save the date and time.

Note: Click on the Time Zone tab to check the Time Zone.

Step 3: I suggest you to install all the pending updates after upgrade to Windows 10.

• Connect to the internet.
• Press Windows key and type
  updates.
• Click on Check for updates.
• Under Windows Updates, click on
  Check for updates.
• Try to install the updates being shown.
