Windows 10: internet ethernet controller i225-v errors

Is there a permanent fix for internet ethernet controller i225-v to stop having code 10 a few times a month?It's very annoying, and as i search the internet it seems alot of people have this reoccuring issue. check google and you'll see.If i restart my computer, there is always a chance that my ethernet dissapears. When i go to device managers internet ethernet controller i225-v shows usually code 10 when this happends,Sometimes it can be fixed with either restarting my pc a million times and like magic my ethenet is back as normal. really annoying wayI saw a reddit thread from google search

Intel i225-v Ethernet Controller just doesn't work properly

I've had a MAJOR issue with my Ethernet Adaptor for the past 2 weeks and I've tried just about EVERY method I know and could find online to try and fix but to no avail, the issue is that the Ethernet Adaptor works perfectly fine in normal use but as soon as I launch a game such as BF2042 or For Honor my Ethernet completely stops working and the only way to fix it is by restarting my PC as trying to do anything with it in Device Manager either crashes the system or gives an infinite loading status.

The issue seems to come from Windows refusing to configure my adapter properly because I noticed it says "Device not started (e2fnexpress)" when the Intel provided drivers are installed or "Device not started (e2f68)" when the default Windows drivers are installed but I've done everything that should've resolved this issue and yet it persists...





I've ordered a new PCIe NIC in hopes it'll resolve the issue if I just bypass using the onboard NIC, I'll update this once I've tried it out.

Intel(R) Ethernet Controller (3) I225-V suddenly stop

Hi everyone,

I have one issue with ethernet that I already tried my best to fix on hardware and software but the issue was not solved.

The description for Event ID 163 from source e2fnexpress cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

Intel(R) Ethernet Controller (3) I225-V

The message resource is present but the message was not found in the message table.

I tried to install the current driver from intel: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/sku/184676/intel-ethernet-controller-i225v/downloads.html


I also tried to with another cable, update Windows 11 while other computers in my lab still work well with the same router.

I am using Windows 11 version pro, version: 10.0.22621 Build 22621, personalize: school or student type (not person). This version has just been set up last week.

Ethernet 802.3, Intel(R) Ethernet Controller (3) I225V.

Could you please help to fix this current problem?

<this may not be a hardware related but an OS related issue because Windows perceived that there was a disconnection and generated an error however the disconnection was never encountered. Since no disconnection occurred, we still suggest to contact Microsoft.

About your follow up questions, possible that this is only false positive because having these errors will cause intermittent or permanent disconnection which you never encountered. It is still best to contact Microsoft so they can provide further recommendations.>

Then please can you really give a solution that can actually be solved, without losing or closing the functions that should be there, and under the premise of not reducing performance and stability!

And the above is not a case, there are other consumers like me, the interesting thing is that the Cable Integrity Status item also shows 225 meters！

Note:
The shared router is ASUS RT-AC58U, Chunghwa Telecom's FTTH, and the cables are CAT5E & CAT6!
