  1. Internet issues only when online gaming

    Hi,

My internet appears to work fine when browsing the web or streaming video, but when I try to play an online game it will start out fine, slowly become increasingly laggy, then eventually disconnect from the game server. My internet is not disconnected still and if I immediately load a web page it works fine.

I have tried a number of solutions, the only thing that has worked at all is

    ipconfig /release

    ipconfig /renew

    ipconfig /flushDNS

or power cycling the modem and router

both of which fix the problem temporarily and I can play a game for about 10 minutes before it starts lagging again and eventually disconnects.

List of things I have tried as fixes that had no apparent effect:

    • Disabling windows firewall
    • Configuring ethernet settings to increase speed & duplex
    • netsh winsock reset

Any information on how to solve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

    :)

Internet issues only when online gaming

    AMD FX OC'ers Club

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
