Windows 10: Internet not working after KB4343909 update

Hi,

I'm using the windows10 and 08/21 early morning microsoft update package kb4343909 kicked in and restarted the laptop.
After that internet is not working on my laptop. wifi connection shows connected with internet but when I try browsing on IE or Chrome nothing works.

I tried following but no luck:
1. Restore the windows10 to last restore point.
2. Removed all the network connections from wifi and added them again.
3. ipconfig/registerdns
4. uninstall the kb4343909 update.

Restarted and tried browsing after every above step but issue still exist.

VPN issue with KB4343909

Since the issue started after installing the latest build, we don't have much information yet as to what might be causing your VPN connection to stop working. However, we would like to troubleshoot the issue to determine what triggers it and how it can be
solved.

By the way, have you tried troubleshooting the VPN connection issue while the
KB4343909 was still installed on your computer? If so, what were the steps you've performed? Did you get other error messages aside from the "Trying to connect" message?

If it's okay with you, I would like to suggest to reinstall the KB4343909. Once reinstall, you may run the
Network Troubleshooter and perform the Network Reset to help us to further diagnose in case the issue persists. Below are the steps:

Network Troubleshooter

1. In the Cortana search, type in
   Network Troubleshooter, then select Identify and repair network problems from the list of results.
2. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Network Reset

1. Navigate to the Windows key > Settings > Network & Internet > Status > Network reset.
2. On the Network reset screen, select Reset now.
3. Click Yes to confirm.

How to stop KB4343909 from updating after removed because it causes OpenOffice to fail for large files

Large OpenOffice files have stopped working after the installation of update KB4343909. Once KB4343909 is removed, everything works fine again.

I found the solution here:

Problem is that Windows is now trying to download and install update KB4343909 because it's been removed.

Two questions:

1) How do I stop Windows from downloading and installing KB4343909?

2) Is Windows working on a solution for this bug? (If so, when will it be ready?)

The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.
