Windows 10: Internet not working after using a hdmi to usb connector

while connector is not plugged in




Hello, My name is Landon. Recently i have started school and for my coding class i have my home computer hooked up to a monitor to code. My computer did not have a hdmi so i got a cord that goes from usb to hdmi, and gives me a few extra usb slots for my mouse and keyboard. It looks like this


I honestly dont know which usb type it is, so here is a picture.

I downloaded the proper driver from the j5create website to work this. Unfortunately when i unplugged it , I did not eject it right. Now my internet is not working and not showing any networks. I dont know exactly when it started but it used to have a ton of networks. When i have the usb to hdmi plugged in i dont have the eject thing at the bottom roght of the taskbar anymore either. It flashes for a second then dissapears. When i troubleshoot with it plugged in, it says

The connecter has a ethernet slot in it
Then if i skip it, it says

Please help me fix this problem and get my internet back. Not only do i want to game on it, but i also really need a computer for my AP computer science class. Thank you so much for your help and please lmk if you need any more info.

• Have you tried using the HDMI to USB connector with another phone?

My son has used a HDMI TO usb connector since Feb 2015 successfully but it stopped working following the anniversary update a few days ago. He has reversed the update but connector is still not working, any suggestions please?
