Windows 10: internet program

ok so I need some advice, over the last 3 months this problem has been steadily getting worse and worse while using the internet programs such as Chrome Firefox discord steam and pretty much anything that uses it will freeze often for 7 or 8 minutes at a time, and I don't know why I'm using a tethered ethernet port but I get the same problem when using wireless as well I don't get this problem on any other device in my home and as you can understand this is getting frustrated for me as this is my main computer for college and work. Windows troubleshooter along with other programs I've tried can't seem to detect anything wrong and I haven't been able to find anyone else having this problem on the internet either I'm reluctant to to reset the computer that it has years of work backed up but if needed I will thanks for any help you guys and give me.

I would suggest you to run Internet Connectivity troubleshooter:





Try the following steps:

• 
  Click "Search" and type "Troubleshooting" without quotes and hit enter.
  
• 
  Click “View All”
  
• 
  Select "Internet Explorer connection"
  
• 
  Click next to run the troubleshooter.

Why did the startup window get cleared?

I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.

  Do you face this issue specific with program tab or all the tab?
  

I suggest you to open Internet Option from Command prompt and check if it helps.

Follow the steps to open Internet Options.

1. Press windows + R and type
inetcpl.cpl.

2. After opening the Internet options check if the issue still persist.
