Windows 10: Internet Proxy settings won't change

Hello,


I am using the company laptop. We are using company ID and password to login everyday.

Recently few weeks ago, I have trouble connecting to our local company Wifi every morning when I opened my laptop. After login, it says I don't have internet connections whereas it should be automatically connected. So, I have to restart my laptop Dell many times until it says my ID was locked. After do the UNLOCKING prompt, only then I have internet connections.


I refer to my colleague, he said I have to change the connections settings LAN settings address on INTERNET OPTIONS. The thing is, it won't change from http://127.0.0.1:####/localproxy.pac . I tried to changed it same as my colleague's address, click OK apply.. But nothing was changed. It goes back to that address. I also cannot tick or untick the"use automatic configuration script"


Been trying to get help from our IT dept but it seems to get hold of them.


Additional, our common printer also using some kind wifi connections. So I cannot use the printer as well.


Anyone, please help.

Hi Mike,

To set up a proxy server in Windows 10, you may follow the following steps.

• Press the Windows key and I to open
  Settings.
• Click on Network & Internet.
• Under Proxy you can either Automatically set up a proxy or
  Manual set up a proxy server.

My proxy settings keep being changed
