    Internet randomly freezes, disconnects, or drops to 4mb/s


    My internet either randomly freezes, disconnects, or drops to 4mb/s and when I run the troubleshooter, it will says that it couldn't identify the problem or it will say that the default gateway is not available.When I'm trying to download games on Steam, it sometimes downloads well, or sometimes it downloads at 4mb/sWhen I'm playing GTA IV Online using GTA Connected, I can tell I get disconnected when it says that all players left game. Also my ping for odd reason is always high like 180-200ms.I'm using 5 GHZ Wi-Fi and Windows 10 Home, latest version.

    I had already tried turning off fast startup, to no avail.
    Will look at the list you provided, thanks. Hard to do when computer freezes on the Windows loading screen though. *Biggrin
    I had tried that as well... no result.

    • Which is the last Windows update build you've applied to the computer?
    • Are there any third party applications that are currently installed?
    Furthermore, we suggest that you do a BIOS update to your computer. Here are the steps:

    • Check the motherboard manufacturer's website to find the specific model of your motherboard.
    • Go to the computer manufacturer's website.
    • Look for the computer model that you're using.
    • You should find any available BIOS update.
