Windows 10: Internet sites crash whenever I try to take notes on a PDF file

Hello everybody.


I've recently purchased the Microsoft Surface Computer which I'm typing on.

The problem is that everytime I try to take notes in a PDF file, due to some schoolwork, all my opened internet sites just crash immediately.

I don't know whether the computer has a bug or I just simply forgot to activate a procedure that enables me taking notes on an online PDF file.

Hello Bhaumik,

For you to download and access the PDF files, please follow the steps below:

• Please download and install the UC browser and Xodo PDF Reader & Editor from Windows Store.
• Once installed, please download the PDF file from a web page using the
  UC browser by tapping the PDF file you wish to download > Click
  Regular Download.
• Once the PDF file is downloaded, please go to App list >
  Xodo application > Menu icon > Recent Documents > tap the
  PDF file you've downloaded from UC browser.

Please note that if you have an existing PDF Reader application installed on your phone, we suggest that you uninstall it first.

Trouble Opening PDF's

Before assisting further, I would like to ask you few questions:

• Does the issue persist in Edge browser?
• Do you get similar error when you open the PDF file in Adobe reader?

Check if you are facing similar issue in Edge browser.



Step 1: Open PDF file in Adobe reader and check if you are facing similar issue.



To open PDF file directly from Adobe reader, follow the steps below:

• Open Adobe application and click on Edit.
• Click on Preferences and select Internet.
• Uncheck Display PDF in Browser option and check if you are able to open the PDF file without getting the error code.

Step 2: If you are able to open PDF file in Adobe reader, I suggest you to
Turn off Internet Explorer,
enable it again and check if the issue is resolved.
