Windows 10: internet speed

i plug my laptop directly into my spectrum modem via a rj-45 cable. the laptops i currently own all have rj-45 ports, although most being sold these days do not. spectrum is giving me around 350 mbps download speed. the question is, if i purchase a laptop without a rj-45 port and i use a usb adaptor to plug in.. how would i get the same speed? note that i do not use wifi in my apartment because i leave my pc sitting on my desk. thanx

Slow Internet speed on only one computer.

Hi Cody,

Slow internet speed on one of your computer could be due to the following:

• Outdated network adapter driver
• Different Wi-Fi chipset
• Computer processing speed

Make sure that the network driver of your computer(s) are always updated.

We also suggest you to contact your internet service provider for them to check your internet connection speed and give you more information.
