Windows 10: Internet stopped working on Laptop

My internet has stopped working recently on my laptop running Windows 10. When I run windows network diagnostics, it says there might be a problem with the driver for the Wi-Fi adapter. When I press view detailed information, it says “Windows couldn’t automatically bind the IP protocol stack to the network adapter.” I tried moving my laptop right next to the router and plugging in an Ethernet cable, and the internet worked just fine with it, but using Ethernet is not a viable option for the location I usually sit in. Internet Explorer has stopped working

Internet -stopped working on the laptop

My internet has stopped working on my laptop. I have tried with an ethernet cable and still says connected no internet access. I have tried various solutions but no luck. when in command the the ip config will not work and says media disconnected.

I believe I need to update my driver, however I have two issues. My laptop does not have enough disk space to update. I have a 16GB usb to use but I can't access the internet on the laptop. Can you advise how to proceed? many thanks

I am able to use a family members laptop but require a simple breakdown on the steps as I am not very tech savvy
