    Internet stuck on globe icon when connecting to wi-fi router


    I'd appreciate it if you guys have any ideas besides reinstalling the Wi-Fi drivers, or using the command prompt to refresh some things, since I've been trying those quite a few times now. I tried disabling and re-enabling the Wi-Fi adapter, and I tried to let the system troubleshoot itself. I've already reinstalled Windows 10, but that didn't help.


    At some point today, my Wi-Fi just decided to turn into a globe icon with no hope of recovering. It's weird, since I am able to set up a hotspot from my phone and connect to that.

    No wi-fi connection

    I found the restore points and went back to last month, when the Wi-Fi was still working. I reconnected the router. The control panel says the connection is secure and connected when I tried to get online via wireless rather than DSL, but the icon on the bottom is still the DSL one. Do I have to disconnect the DSL cable in order to use the Wi-Fi or does it matter? The control panel lists both internet connections.

    Wrong wi-fi icon?

    I have my 'old' Black Panther system now connected by a wi-fi dongle.

    There isn't a networking problem here, because the pc gets online with no problem.

    However the bottom-right icon (near the clock) shows the symbol for not connected - 5 empty bars and a red cross over them.
    Mousing over the icon it says 'network - internet access' *Confused Internet stuck on globe icon when connecting to wi-fi router :confused: And there is internet.

    Why isn't the correct icon showing up? *Wtf :wtf:

    After windows 1903 update I don't have any wi fi connection or icon showing and have tried many suggestions on how to get it, but none have worked.

    Can you provide a step by step instruction on how to get wi fi icon and network.
