Windows 10: Internet works on everything else but PC

When I start my computer, majority of the time I am not connected to the internet. When clicking on the globe by left click, the wi-fi option does not appear on the small window. When I right click to "Network and Internet Settings", sometimes it'll say Ethernet not plugged in or turn on wi-fi. I don't have a cable connected to my computer, it is connected by wi-fi. I tried turning the wi-fi on via troubleshooter and it still won't work. I reset my router, performed a network reset, and also restarted my computer many times. I went down the list of troubleshooting and I can't find the solution

Internet Explorer has stopped working

• If you have made any changes to the operating system that might have resulted in causing this issue?
• If you were able to see any error code/ error message when Internet Explorer crashes?

Try the below troubleshooting steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to run the Internet Explorer Performance troubleshooter.

• Press Windows key, type troubleshooting
  and select it.
• Click on View all in the left pane.
• Click onInternet Explorer Performance and follow the onscreen instructions.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.
