Windows 10: Invalid Floating Point Operation when Installing Programs Windows 10

I am all of a sudden having this error pop up when trying to install programs or even open them up. Some programs also began instantly crashing before opening as well. Other programs run just fine. It is consistent on which ones work and which ones don't though.I have ran virus scans, FTC scan, checked memory, reset windows. I'm at a loss at what the issue could be.

Hi, I ran a program in win10 (LORETA; LORETA (software)) and encountered an error: "invalid floating
point operation". The program was written by PASCAL (using an academic version of “CodeGear Delphi 2007 for Win32”). May I ask is there any quick fix?

I am sorry, there is no quick fix for this, because a floating point error is caused by a numeric error in that software itself, not Windows

There is a coding error in Loreta that needs to be fixed, however, they have not updated that software since 2008

They do provide the source code, so unless you can contact them and have them look at this error for you, getting hold of a PASCAL coder would be the only other option . . .

 

Windows 10 installing progs

I decided to take the plunge and upgrade to windows 10 from 7. I used the Media Creation Tool from MS website. It took awhile, but I am finally running Windows 10 (12-14).

I opened the new App & Program feature to remove programs that I no longer needed. Scrolling down the list, I was horrified! Apps that I didn't install somehow magically installed themselves. Two programs stood out: Facebook and Candy Crush Soda Saga. Both programs have those tale-tale icons that they came from Windows Store (which I've never even opened). The install date for both of them were on 12-26.

Is this a common thing for Windows 10? Or is it because I did an upgrade and not a clean install?
