    Invalid IP connection error for the past 6 years


    Iv been plagued with an issue on my PC for the past 6 years where every now and again the internet just randomly drops out and says no longer have a valid IP connection.

    BUT every other internet device in my household is still connected including the router.

    The only way to resolve it is by restarting my PC and resetting my wireless ethernet adapters but sometimes that doesn't work and eventually it just fixes itself.

    Iv tried basically every fix on the internet to no avail, is this a glitch within windows itself?

    Invalid IP Configuration

    As I have noticed with many of you, I have had trouble connecting my lap top to Wifi running in Windows 10. Trouble shooter informs me that the IP address configuration is invalid. I have followed a number of the suggestions posted on the forum however the
    only one that worked was to go into 'Command Prompt'; 'Run Administrator'; then type in ipconfig /renew. However this only appears to be a short term fix as it reverts back to 'invalid IP Configuration. The contact centre have been unable to help - does anyone
    know how to fix it permanently?!

    Windows 10: Cannot connect to network. Invalid IP error.

    I have windows 10 on another computer which has been connecting to internet just fine until today now im getting an error message

    invalid IP but my phone and this computer both connect.

    This assumes a user knows how to do this, other better posts explain...

    Wifi doesn't have a valid IP configuration

    That said, the release command produces

    "No operation can be performex on Local Area Connection* 2 while it has its media disconnected. An error occured while releasing interface wi-fi the parameter is incorrect.

    Remaining suggested steps do not work presumably due to this error

    Other ideas?
