    Invalid login credentials on boot

    Hello,

My Windows 10 was automatically logging me in, until recently, when it started showing me the following

"The username and password is invalid. Please try again"

Then it asks me to enter my Microsoft account password and then lets me log in. How do I make sure that it automatically logs me in?

I also tried enabling PIN, but it shows the same message and gives me an option to login with either PIN or Microsoft account password later.

    Thanks in advance.

    :)

  3. WIFI does not connect on Lumia 620

Trying to connect to the WIFI I enter the login credential still get an error that the username or password is invalid. I have entered the credentials correctly.
What is the Valid Server certifcate and which one should I install to get the wifi working.

    None of those *Smile

Windows uses a so called full username in several places and actions. The full username is Computer_Name\User_Profile_Name. User profile name can be different, and if using MS account always is different than your actual username.

Let's say you setup Windows with MS account larry.laffer@some_email_com. That would now be your user account name to sign in to Windows, but your user profile name would be Larry meaning your user profile folder would be C:\Users\Larry. You sign in to Windows as larry.laffer@some_email_com, but your personal stuff is stored in C:\Users\Larry.

Let's continue assuming your PC name is MyMonsterRig. In this example now your full username would be MyMonsterRig\Larry.

The automatic sign-in when set up will not sign you in as larry.laffer@some_email_com, instead it signs you in as MyMonsterRig\Larry. If you now change the PC name to IReallyHateThisOldJunk, your full username will be changed to IReallyHateThisOldJunk\Larry. Therefore, if user MyMonsterRig\Larry tries to sign-in, the error message you got will be shown because that user does no longer exist.

Complicated and simple at same time *Smile
