    INVALID REGISTRY VALUE ERROR WHEN PHOTO IS SELECTED PHOTO DOES NOT OPEN


    I am unable toopen pictures in the local useraccount as a registrt error appears this is happening frequently in a windows10 installation this issue never occurred on windows 10 upgraded from windows 7

    Cannot open any photo file, error message "invalid value for registry".

    Original title: Photos.

    I cannot open any photo file. Error message reads "invalid value for registry". This happens regardless of the program I use to open file. However, thumbnails do show when I open a folder with photo files.

    Have updated windows 10, when trying to open my photos I get this

    warning 'invalid value for registry error'. Why? What can be done to allow my

    photos to open again?
