  1. INVALID_DATA_ACCESS_TRAP BSOD at 75% upgrading Windows 10 to Windows 11

I have an MSI GS66 Stealth laptop with a 11th gen i7-11800H CPU. I’ve been trying to upgrade to windows 11 since it appeared in my windows updates. Every time I try to upgrade the computer restarts a few times then once it reaches 75% I get a BSOD and it reverts back to Windows 10. I even tried downloading the ISO from windows website and the same thing happens. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you.

    :)

    INVALID_DATA_ACCESS_TRAP BSOD at 75% upgrading Windows 10 to Windows 11, Error Code 0x900101 - 0x40021

Tried to upgrade Windows 10 to Windows 11 today. My computer passed the tests of the compatibility tool. After the first couple of reboots during the installation process, at 75% progress I get an BSOD "INVALID_DATA_ACCESS_TRAP" and it rolls back to Windows 10.

Tried to upgrade two times, same issue on second attempt.

    Error Code 0x900101 - 0x40021

Any idea how to find the source of the problem?

    Thanks,

BSOD (INVALID_DATA_ACCESS_TRAP) when upgrade to Windows 11 from Windows 10

I've given it more tries over the weekend. Though I was able to push Windows 11 upgrade to run longer, at the end, it was still BSOD with INVALID_DATA_ACCESS_TRAP error.

What I did was to show hidden drivers in the Device Manager and deleted all the hidden ones I can found. This computer has the CPU, memory and motherboard replaced in Feb. 2022. The previous CPU was Intel i7-2600k (really old!) and the new one is Intel i7-12700KF 12Gen. Hence a total different motherboard and memory sticks as well. Windows 10 runs fine after the hardware upgrade.

All in all, removing all hidden drivers helped Windows 11 upgrade to proceed further. But at the end, still the same error. :'(

INVALID_DATA_ACCESS_TRAP BSOD at 75% upgrading Windows 10 to Windows 11

Windows 10 upgrade problem, no input accepted

I really hate having to come here and ask for help, but I really am stumped. It hurts my geek pride. I have a PC with fairly modern hardware in it. It has a p8p67 pro in it. I have tried upgrading windows 10 on it twice now. Both times I have had the same result.

After windows finishes upgrading it goes to the log in/set up screen. I can't do anything. No keyboard or mouse input is accepted.

I will list some, or hopefully all, of the troubleshooting steps I have tried:
    • Move keyboard and mouse to different USB ports.
    • Try different keyboard or mouse.
    • Restart computer, repeatedly.
    • Google for related issues.
    • Update Bios, because why not.
    • Create boot media and revert to windows 7.
The windows 10 system restore boot media works fine with keyboard and mouse. All USB ports work in windows 7. I don't know what is wrong. I suspect that windows 10 is lacking a driver of some sort, but since the computer accepts no input I have no way of checking for which driver let alone installing it.

Please help me figure this out. If I have to revert back to windows 7 again, I am not going to get it upgraded to windows 10. Thank you in advanced.
